Thank you for your inquiry! We would love to sit down with you to discuss your concerns. A blepharoplasty removes fullness and excess skin. It uncovers the shape of your natural eye. Schedule a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to help you reach your goals.
You said no surgery (you're waiting) and no botox... so no, there's nothing else that's remotely effective for this. But while you're at it, I would consider saving more / discussing wiht a surgeon because you almost certainly would benefit from a brow reset/lift too.
Great question! Botox can sometimes help with the fullness of the eyelids if it is related to heavy brows (ie chemical "brow lift"). This is done by injecting the muscles around the eye which can pull the brow down, but not injecting the forehead which pulls the brow up. It may not make a huge change, but it is definitely something to consider if you aren't quite ready for a blepharoplasty. That being said, for the excess amount of skin of the upper lid, I think you would be an ideal candidate for a blepharoplasty currently. And you are likely to wait quite a long time before it gets to the point where insurance would cover the surgery. I'd say these patients are typically in their 60s or older before it gets to that point where insurance will cover surgery for functional visual field deficits. Hope this helps and best of luck!
