I had a reverse tummy tuck 1 year ago and am happy with the scars and the improvement. However I still have a mild/moderate amount of lax skin remaining ABOVE my belly button. Is it reasonable to expect that a revision could make the upper part quite tight or does the skin become significantly lax after several months post surgery due to gravity? My skin is fine below my belly button.
Answer: Abdomen The reverse tummy tuck is a limited procedure that gives limited results. You might consider minimally invasive radiofrequency skin tightening like Renuvion.

Answer: Reverse abdominoplasty Photos or an exam is the best way to advise your particular situation. The reverse abdominoplasty is much less common than a standard or a mini. Over time gravity can pull the incision lower to where it can be visible when wearing a swimsuit. I encourage you to return to your surgeon for an evaluation and recommendation.

Answer: Expectation from reverse abdominoplasty? Reverse abdominoplasty, also known as an upper abdominal lift, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that focuses on improving the appearance of the upper abdomen. Some expectations from a reverse abdominoplasty may include:1. Improved Upper Abdominal Contour: Reverse abdominoplasty aims to tighten and contour the upper abdominal area, addressing loose or sagging skin and excess fat.2. Scar Placement: This procedure typically involves an incision along the inframammary fold, which may result in a scar hidden beneath the breasts or in the breast crease.3. Improved Clothing Fit: Patients often expect that their clothes will fit better and that they’ll have a more streamlined upper abdominal appearance.4. Enhanced Self-Esteem: Cosmetic surgery can boost self-confidence and body image, but it’s important to have realistic expectations and understand that results may vary.5. Consultation with a Surgeon: Discuss your specific goals and expectations with a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine if reverse abdominoplasty is the right procedure for you.Keep in mind that results can vary from person to person, and it’s crucial to consult with a skilled surgeon to understand what can realistically be achieved through this procedure.
