Laser hair removal for buttock folliculitis?

I have had chronic buttock folliculitis for almost 20 years. I have no visible hairs on my buttocks, they are obviously extremely fine. Would IPL be effective?

IPL treatments work best on hair that is dark.  Fine hairs that have pigment could be treated.  Hairs that are invisible...meaning white...would probably not be helped.  There are medical treatments for the folliculitis you describe.
