Can you get SculpSure if you have had a Hysterectomy and they used metal clamps?

No. The laser does not penetrate deep enough to affect any metal in the body such as clamps used during your hysterectomy. Hope this helps -

It is very safe to go ahead. The laser energy will not penetrate to the pelvis where your clips are located. Sculspure is a great answer to problem fat areas and we have been very successful with it. 

SculpSure penetrates only about an inch deep before the light energy is absorbed.Deep metal will not be heated by the procedure.

The short answer to your question is, yes! SculpSure is designed to target your subcutaneous fat and only that, meaning the laser will not affect any surrounding structures including skin, muscles or organs or any foreign objects placed during surgery. Since the laser cannot target these clamps it will not heat them up so there is no worry of potential damage. Overall SculpSure is a very safe procedure, the only real side effects being soreness following the procedure. Of course it is important to provide full medical history to the provider performing the procedure and you are certainly smart to ask this question, however there are no worries here. Absolutely! The clips are much deeper than Sculpsure's laser energy can reach, so no ill effects are possible. Overall it's an extremely safe and problem-free treatment for areas with small fat deposits. 

In a word--Yes, you can, and NO they won't heat up. Metal clamps must mean tiny blood vessal clips (?why) but I assume it was laparoscopically done. They make no difference since they are not in the reach of any energy from this superficial laser. The presence or absence of a uterus has no bearing on this treatment (good news men!). Go for it!

It is not recommended to have SculpSure performed over a  surgical scar or over an area that has metal implants. This does not mean you cannot have the procedure performed at all, just not over a surgical scar or an area that has metal implants.
