Coolsculpting does not treat cellulite or loose skin. It is intended to reduce pinachble fat. Regards,
CoolSculpting does not directly address cellulite, although some patients report improvement of the appearance of cellulite. This is possibly due to the breaking down of pockets of fat which might improve theappearance of cellulite on the thighs. In treating the upperarms, there can sometimes be seen a moderate firming on a patient upuntil the age of roughly 40-45.
Coolsculpting is a procedure that removes the fat, the treatment will not address the skin tightening or cellulite. Sometimes patients who have excellent skin tone do come out looking and feeling better pre-treatment, but this is not a treatment for that specific target. Some temporary skin tightening treatments available are used with RF /laser technology.
Cryolipolysis does not reduce cellulite or tighten skin. It does reduce bulk due to fat however. There are some potential other treatments or surgery that can be done to address cellulite or excess skin.
Coolsculpting is a great procedure for fat removal, however not for skin tightening. In my office I choose to use VelaShape 3 and/or Ulthera to tighten lax skin. The preferred technique would be Ulthera, however the cost for the amount of energy required is often a barrier for patients.
Coolsculpting has not been shown to reduce cellulite or to tighten the skin of the arms. It does reduce about 25% of the fat. By reducing fat, sometimes cellulite can be less. Most people do not complain of the skin being loose after a treatment due to the small amount of fat that is removed.Remember this is more of a sculpting procedure. I have not had a client yet who has been unhappy with the results. We always do a consult prior to the treatment and try to give realistic expectations. If you would like to tighten your skin, we do have therapies specifically addressing that.
