Does a faja need to be worn 3-4 months, or just 1 month like my doctor told me? How much does it actually mold your body?

I’m having a BBL next month my doctor told me that I’ll be wearing a faja 24/7 for one month, after that only at night.I’m kind of confused since I’ve read on the internet it should be worn 24/7 for at least 3-4 months to get a great result. How much of this is true and does the time you wear a faja ”make or brake” the end result? How much does the time you wear a faja actully ”mold” your body or is the only possible molding done on the surgery table?
