I think you are right to be concerned, but if you are young and healthy it is probably not too big a risk. I'd be more worried about why that operation is estimated to take that long. It shouldn't.

Thanks for the question. I advice is you should wait a couple weeks too. After a month your operation area is totally healed you can surfing and also do other sport activities. I wish you all the best.
