I had Vollure dermal filler in my tear troughs 15 months ago, and was happy with the results. However, a week and a half ago I woke up and noticed I had two very hard, non-painful lumps under both eyes. They have continued to grow and are extremely hard, it feels like my eye bones actually. Could this be a late reaction from the girl filler? I went to my primary care physician and he ordered a CAT scan, I’m still waiting for the results.
Answer: Late nodules in lower lids from filler HA fillers in the lower eyelids can last for anywhere from 6 months to many years. We are seeing more issues with late nodules which are most likely auto-immune in nature, and often occur after someone has had the flu, cold or other illness which gets the immune system activated. This nodular reaction has been seen more often, and has been reported in the medical journals, with the zycross technology fillers such as Vollure, but can probably occur with any filler. It can be hard to treat these nodules - may need both hyaluronidase to dissolve whatever filler is still in there, and this can take a couple of injections. Some steroids or other anti-inflammatory medicines also usually needed. See your injector to get this started.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Hard lumps under both eyes, late reaction Thank you for sharing your question. Best to base treatment on what the CT scan shows. If residual nodules then hyaluronidase and steroid injections should provide relief and improvement. Hope this helps.

Answer: Nodules following filler Your experience with Vollure under the eyes seems to be more common with this particular filler. You are wise to obtain and imaging study to make sure there is not something unrelated. If the scan is clear, hyaluronidase injections and maybe even a steroid injection would be recommended. Good luck

Answer: Vollure Bruising, swelling, sometimes discoloration, lumps, and bumps are normal side effects assuming proper injection. They should be gone in a matter of days. In general, if it continues to feel uncomfortable up to this time, consult your doctor to get a complete assessment or have the filler dissolved if filler is still left.

Answer: Vollure Thank you for your message! With certain types of fillers with Vycross technology, such as the Vollure, there is a possibility of granuloma formation. This can occur if the injections were done when you were sick, had recent dental work, had recent vaccinations, or have an auto-immune disorder. Granulomas can be difficult to treat though often go away with a combination of steroid injections and dissolving agent. I would recommend following up with your injector soon so they are able to assess the area in person!
