Wisdom teeth extracted 7 days ago, have some pain and redness near one of the sites, is that normal?

On the bottom left site, the oral surgeon had stitched my gums to my cheeks, I've read that this is normal, but that area is very tender and red, should that site hurt at all or be red? Should I call and talk to my oral surgeon?

Some slight pain and redness might be normal 1 week later, but I would advise you to call the Oral Surgeon and have him take a quick look.
