Why do I have pain in one spot of my breast implant?

Question

I had a breast augmentation last August and I've developed an annoying pain in the medial part of my right breast. It's a sharp kind of pain to the touch. Breast are still even and no swelling or redness but it hurts in that spot to the touch. I haven't injured myself or had any strenuous activity.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

The most common reason for pain in one spot is a small cyst.  Getting off caffeine and taking vitamin E can be helpful. Sometimes there may be a thicker area of capsule, or a small sensory nerve has been trapped with scar tissue. Ultrasound treatments may also be helpful. Please discuss this with your surgeon.

Hi, Ashley, hope you are feeling better. 
It is hard to make a diagnosis with the information you give. But taking into account the time that has passed from your surgery and the fact that you don't have redness or swelling it is safe to say you probably don't have a seroma, hematoma or an infection. 
So what are the other possibilities? You may have a capsule (scar tissue that develops around an implant) which in some cases may get hard and painful, or you may have a neuroma ( type of painful scar tissue that is created in a nerve when its injured). 
Nerves that give sensitivity to our skin are commonly found and cut during surgeries (it is common practice), they are often small and don't create any problem besides some numbing after surgery which typically resolves once the surrounding nerves take up their action. Sometimes they develop painful scar tissue, developing a neuroma. Their is treatment available. 
This is just an educated guess, hope it helps.
