My consltantscommended i have 250cc-275cc mentor teardrop under the muscle implants as i have very little breast tissue and a bony chest. 'm worried that these won't look perky and be saggy. I am 5ft 6 weigh 8stone 7. I've waited years to get them done and have procedure in 2 weeks but so stuck more on type rather than the size. Are teardrops still as popular as round and will i get cleavage
Answer: Type of implant can change where the nipple is ? Hello, thank you for your question. Tear drop meaning moderate profile implants are still popular. It really is patient preference. High profile breast implants usually means rounder and fuller on top. I would bring some wish pics of a desired outcome to discuss with your plastic surgeon. Of course everyones body type is different and what may look ideal for your shape perhaps not for someone else of different body or breast tissue.

Answer: Good question. Thank you for your question and photos. A natural and pretty result with cleavage can be obtained both with round and teardrop shaped implants. The latter are always with a textured surface and these have become less popular in the USA since the concerns arose about ALCL associated mainly with textured Allergan implants (which have since been removed from the market). A board certified experienced plastic surgeon should be able to advise you on all of your options. Please do your research and select a plastic surgeon whose aesthetics align with your own based on his or her Before and After gallery. Also, please prepare for your consultation with images of your “ideal” or favorites which you can share with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Implant size and type Dear Loving156883, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
