I have Aetna/Healthlink insurance, I was wondering if they are good at covering Breast Reduction surgery?

Every insurance company has different criteria for the coverage of breast reduction.  You may want to start out with calling your insurance carrier to find out if Breast Reduction is a covered service.  If so, your plastic surgeon will need to write a letter of prior authorization with the approximate grams of tissue to be removed.  It sounds like you won't have any trouble meeting the minimum grams to be removed.  The insurance company will also need to know the symptoms you are experiencing to assist them in determining if you are a candidate for the surgery.  The surgery will help get relief of your symptoms.  Best wishes to you. 

Although, each individual health insurance company has its own criteria for breast reduction coverage, from your description, I believe you would qualify for coverage.  Your surgeon will probably need to submit a report and photos to Aetna and it may take a few days to weeks to get a reply.  Be certain that you and your doctor follow up with your insurance carrier and submit all information they request ASAP.  Best wishes.
