Hello, I'm concerned about the stomach after a BBL. Does the stomach go back to its normal soft self, or is harder than usual? Is there great occurance of scar tissue forming lumps in the stomach after lipo?
Answer: Stomach hardness post BBL The "hardness" experienced in the abdominal area after liposuction is inflammation. This inflammation is temporary but can last up to a year. After that, the tissues soften. Liposuction causes scar tissue formation under the skin, as a result of the trauma from the liposuction. In general, the more aggressive the liposuction, the more chance for irregularities from this scar tissue. This is why the postoperative care after liposuction is crucial. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: BBL Yes, it is normal to have some swelling and hardened areas following liposuction. I would suggest performing some gentle massage on the areas a few times a day to keep everything soft. If it persists, I would suggest speaking to your plastic surgeon about your concerns. Good luck!

Answer: Hardness in stomach after a BBL It is normal for the areas of donor fat (where you have liposuction) to be firm and swollen. This is temporary and will improve. I perform 6-8 BBLs per week and my patients see softening of these areas after a few weeks. There are many things that happen during the healing period and should be reviewed with your surgeon during your consultation.
