When does the buttock stop shrinking after a BBL?

The results immediately following surgery will be the largest due to swelling and lack of fat resorption.  The buttock will continue to decrease in size for the first few weeks.  At about 6 weeks the results are permanent.  I hope that helps!  Best of Luck!

The results immediately following surgery will be the largest due to swelling and lack of fat resorption.  The buttock will continue to decrease in size for the first few weeks.  At about 6 weeks the results are permanent.  About 50% of the fat that is transferred lives and becomes a part of you.  This will hold stable as long as there is no weight fluctuation.  The fat will not move, but losses in weight will distribute differently. The fat that lives in the buttocks from the procedure will get larger with weight gain and smaller with weight loss.   I have seen patients after a year or two and the pictures reveal that the BBL results are permanent. Dear alyssamae527,every patients is different. Some patients need more time to fully heal after the surgery. Generally speaking, most patients lose 30-50% of transferred fat.
