If not, will you feel the edges when you touch it? Will they show as your skin gets thinner? additional details: I am 38 years old. I plan to correct an assymetri and underevelopment due to child reumatoid artritis by moving my chin forward and to the side. My artritis is in remission since 2000.

Changing the height of a chin is quite basic for Maxillofacial surgeons so start there. Your altered image appears to show an increased width of the angles of the lower jaw. This is quite reasonable to review at the consult since longer face patterns tend to have more shallow angles of the jaw
It is a tempting and easy fix just merely shave the chin edges with a
burr, very accessible technically and very little training is needed.
However under no circustances I do support or recommend (neither practice,
obviously) the chin "shaving" with a burr, which is what you seem to
have...
