I just had cheek fillers done about 5 months ago. The filler moved in my face and was very lumpy under my skin. I'm currently getting the filler dissolved. They were fine up until now. Is this common? Will this happen again if I end up getting them done down in the future?

Answer: Cheek filler question Dermal filler migration after injections at the cheek area is rare, but not impossible. If it was fine and you are now developing lumps , likely you have reactive late-onset nodules, with a prevalence rate at about 0.5% ( or less) after dermal fillers injection. I recommend that you consult with your aesthetic practitioner for an assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan. It is possible to get them dissolved and have future injections. All the best, Dr Michon

Answer: Filler migration Hello and thank you for your question. From your question we can advise here but nothing would compare to a face to face consultation in clinic for an accurate plan of what would work best. it's not particularly common for the filler here to migrate if done correctly. Filler in the cheek area should be placed deep and if so will last and not move. Hope this helps, Best wishes
