Scar revision after significant t-junction breakdown?

I had my breast lift with augmentation in October 2023. When steri-strips were removed at 14 days my left breast had significant wound breakdown at the T junction. It took about 3 months to heal. My PS recommended surgical scar revision which was done 2 weeks ago. My PS says to remove the steri-strips now as they can impede healing. I have read several other PS recommendations to keep them in place until they come off naturally as they relieve tension. Best practice and rationales please.
