I'm a young female in 20s who has experienced extreme stress, nutritional defficiencies and hormonal imbalance. My scalp biopsy came back w/ normal follicular density and normal anagen & telogan hairs. it said very few vellus hairs seen. Can this be a good thing? I'd like to note that they took the biopsy on very top front of head & i know that area is prone to baby hairs as are the temples. Derm says that once i regulate hormones it will become terminal. what can you gather from biopsy result?

Taking the Finasteride 5mg once every 5 days will not give you the same effect as taking 1mg a day. It will be best to discuss with your physician that prescribed the medication the best course of action.
