My permanent crown has not been placed on yet.. can I have it sent back to the lab and have adjustments made? (Photo)

Hello and thank you for your question. The good news it is not too late for you to get what you want, because you still wearing a temporary crown. Hopefully your doctor took pictures of your smile and teeth during your last visit with him. Simply tell your doctor that you like how adjacent central tooth looks like and ask him to make a new permanent crown as a mirror image of that tooth. At the time of delivery look in the mirror and make sure you like what you will see. Evaluate the color, shape, position of the new crown.  It is very simple to modify porcelain crown, if it is not cemented permanently. If there is something you want to improve, tell that to the doctor. He will be more then happy to make to your liking. Only when you are 100% happy, allow doctor to cement it permanently.All the best to you.

Tell the dentist you do not like the shape of the temporary crown- and that you want it remade to match the adjacent tooth-  when this is acceptable then the final permanant crown can be made to mimic the temporary crown using photos and guides- - the final crown should also be tried in to evaluate the shape- color and bite-  once accepted by you it can be cemented with a final cement .
