Microneedling with vitamin serum vs. microneedling with PRP?

Thank you for your question in regards to microneedling treatments. PRP will result in a better improvement rather than using a vitamin serum. Since PRP is your own natural growth factors, improvement on tone, texture, fine lines, discoloration, etc. will help you achieve desired results. We absolutely love PRP Platelet Rich Plasma or Radiofrequency Enchanced Microneedling in our office if it fits our patient's budget. For PRP, we use the Selphyl system and usually advise 3 treatments, one per month for a full series. PRP tends to enhance microneedling's benefit. There have been no large studies on PRP vs. specific serums so I can respond from experience only. In an ideal situation, we use PRP in the office and our patient follows with use of a growth factor/peptide serum at home. We use Alastin Skin Nectar and package it with our microneedling procedures when possible. Of course, daily use of sunscreen with zinc or titanium is also advised. 

It really depends on the condition. If you are micro needling for lines and collagen, either or will be beneficial. There are no blinded head to head split face studies that I am aware of, so I can not answer this question scientifically.
