It is not necessary to remove screws and/or plates after sliding genioplasty except if they are palpable or create discomfort and tissue damage (loose screw, mobile plate). If you insist on removing hardware it can be safely done after one year; have in mind that it can be more extensive p...

There is no need to remove the hardware (plates and screws) after facial reconstruction (genioplasty). The plates are only 1.5 mm thick and the screws are 5 to 7 mm. None of which should be palpable.

Interesting question. There’s no way to lower your eyes as you have in the morph, but I’d suggest trying a bit of temporary (and reversible) filler like Voluma or Juvederm Ultra Plus in your cheeks.
