My last post didn't upload pictures needed. I want my upper and lower jaws advanced and rotated as needed to achieve this look included in the photos. I have nasolabial folds due to recessed maxilla. Please recommend surgeons you know who specialize in cosmetic jaw surgery. Or please recommend what you would do to change my profile with surgeries.

You can remove the mental hardware from your chin after a sliding genioplasty. It can be removed anywhere from 3 to 6 months after surgery depending upon what type of chin bone movement was done.
Dear Diana,I am sorry you did not end up with what you have expected. If you do not like the implant, and I agree with you that it made your chin look wider, then definitely you can remove it. The question remains what id best that suits you to replace it. Sliding Genioplasty might be an answer...
There is no need to remove the hardware (plates and screws) after facial reconstruction (genioplasty). The plates are only 1.5 mm thick and the screws are 5 to 7 mm. None of which should be palpable.
