Hello, I’ve had quite a few problems the last few months where my breasts go everywhere while laying down and it hurts since they either go too far on the side or laying on my back they both go their separate ways.. my biggest concern is the I keep having a burning sensation on my left breast near the nipple area and it’s very sensitive as well as my under boob. I’ve also noticed that they’ve been numb quite a lot. I’m extremely worried at the moment. Thank you in advance for the help!

Answer: 1 year 6 months post BA. What is this burning sensation on my left breast? Thank you for your questions. Without an in-person exam, it is hard to say what is going on. However, it sounds like there are two different problems here. The first is implant movement which sounds like a widened capsule problem. This can possibly be fixed with revision surgery but you need to see a local board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation to discuss exactly what needs to be done. The other, and potentially more serious issue, is the new pain and sensations in the breast. I am doubtful that this has anything to do with your surgery and could possibly be something else going on. You need to go to your regular doctor for an exam, evaluation, and possibly imaging to work this up to rule out anything bad. Better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps!Dallas R. Answer: Burning sensation with implants and breasts fall to the side. When the pockets are too big for the implants, or lateral displacement of the implants occurs over time, this can be associated with implants falling into your armpits. This can cause discomfort and sometimes a burning sensation from pulling on the capsule and the nerves. A full discussion with your plastic surgeon is warranted. A capsulorraphy, internal sutures to correct the problem, maybe necessary to improve the position of the implants. Most of the time this will alleviate the burning sensation or discomfort you are feeling. However, it is always important to make sure the burning and discomfort is not associated with any other pathology. Seek an evaluation sometime soon. Good luck.

Answer: Nerve pain & pocket expansion? Hi. It sounds like you may have some pocket expansion. Sometimes, this is associated with a burning sensation in the areas where the pocket is stretching out.Best to return to your surgeon for an evaluation. Pocket expansion can be fixed with an internal suture technique, called capsulorrhaphy or pocket plication. Many times, the burning sensation responds to treatment with Neurontin.

Answer: 1 year 6 months post BA. What is this burning sensation on my left breast? Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your breast symptoms. Based on your narrative it sounds as if you are suffering with implant malposition issues and I would advocate returning to your surgeon to discuss your revision surgery options. With less motion of your implants the nerve sensations you are experiencing should improve as well. Best wishes!
