A bit disappointed with my results. Will a round 2 BBL make a difference? (Photo)

Sometimes patients request a second round if they gain or lose weight or want more liposuction. Having the BBL done a second time is an option as long as the patient has enough fat to be transferred. The percentage of fat survival in the BBL the second time should be about the same as the first. The volume loss occurs over the first 6 weeks or so.  After that period of time the volume remains stable assuming weight is maintained. Wait six months to a year to evaluate results before scheduling a BBL revision.

Dear trueyoudd,I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. They can sleep on their stomachs or sides. Fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the buttocks as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival. It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area.I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen.
