Hi @peanut47! This is an excellent question. You should wait until your course of antibiotics is complete prior to getting dermal filler. Good luck!
Thank you for the great question. If you're on antibiotics to treat an active infection, then definitely wait. Finish the course of antibiotics. If you're on the antibiotics because you have a heart murmur or some other concern that requires prophylaxis, it is safe to get the filler.
There should not be any issue with having a filler the day after dental work and being on antibiotics should not affect the filler. I'm not sure if you are on the antibiotics for an infection or just taking it prophylactically. If you have an actual infection, I would wait until this is cleared up before having the filler. If you are just taking the antibiotics prophylactically, then there should not be any problem.
Thank you for your question. This should be okay but you should check with your dentist and injector. Hope this helps!
If you have an active infection then you should wait until you have completed your antibiotic course and the infection has fully resolved prior to having fillers. If you are using the medication prophylactically then it should be fine to proceed as planned with your filler treatment.
Hi there! Thanks so much for reaching out. This is an excellent question. I would highly recommend holding off for a good two weeks before getting your filler, post your dental work. There is a lot of bacteria in the mouth and as things are disrupted, during your procedure, this can spread to other parts of the face. The area under the eyes is especially delicate and prone to inflammatory reactions, etc. post filler, and I am sure you do not want to increase your chance of any complications by having these two procedures done back-to-back. In the case that you decide to move forward with your filler appointment, make sure to let your practitioner know that you just had dental work done, so that they can take any precautions they deem necessary. Good luck!Ivette M. Ballara, RNRobinson Facial Plastic Surgery
Hello and thank you for your great question. There shouldn’t be any issue in having a CoolSculpting procedure while on antibiotics. That being said, I don’t recommend getting fillers if you have an active infection, I would wait until its cleared up. Best wishes.Dr. T
Hi @Thriving231857! The answer is yes. You are able to get both lip and cheek filler done at the same visit. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications.
It seems so logical to enjoy a good result from a filler such as Juvederm or Restylane and wanting to get the same result that will last forever with a permanent filler. However, there are many stories of patients not being happy with temporary fillers which last only 6 months or so. Eventually...
In California, it is not permitted for an RN to practice medicine independently. In theory, there is a physician who is 'supervising' the clinic or medspa and is available in case of trouble (ie adverse result, infection, complication). Often, these physicians will 'sponsor' an RN in hopes of...
