I just had 4 syringes injected less than three months ago by a board certified top notch doctor. 2 syringes were of this filler called Versa in my chin and jowl area (Dr. said it could last up to 5 years!) 2 syringes were of Juvederm in my lips (Dr. said it would last 9-12 months) Neither has lasted nearly that long :'-( very disappointed.. Is there a truly permanent filler? I would prefer a permanent filler because I loved the immediate results of the fillers before the absorbed.

Answer: Lip augmentation with permanent fillers It seems so logical to enjoy a good result from a filler such as Juvederm or Restylane and wanting to get the same result that will last forever with a permanent filler. However, there are many stories of patients not being happy with temporary fillers which last only 6 months or so. Eventually these problems go away because the filler will be dissolved by itself. There are fillers available that produce permanent results, however imagine you have a problem or are dissatisfied with the result. Your problem becomes a permanent one (as in for the rest of your life) just like the filler itself. Correcting these problems is extremely difficult and I believe this is the main reason why permanent fillers should not be used in medicine. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City plastic surgery
