What can I do to fix Tyndall effect after Juvederm and loose/wrinkly skin under eyes? Would CO2 laser work? (photos)

Hello, I had Juvederm filler placed under the eye which created a Tyndall effect. I had some resolved, but the bruises from the filler were so deep that they left two brown spots under my eyes that never went away. It looks like dried blood in the filler. How can I get rid of this and get rid of the loose/ wrinkly skin under my eye? Would co2 laser work? (Bruises photo is before I healed)

I'm not certain if I would call this Tyndall effect.  From your photos, it looks like bad ecchymosis or bruising after needle injection and the residua might be residual hemosiderin staining.  As far as the color goes, I would advise giving it time and leaving it alone. As far as your complaint of loose wrinkly skin, I can't see that on your photos and I would recommend getting a personal evaluation.  However, I would recommend not getting any more treatment until the pigment problem resolves.

Your pictures show iron staining after the bruising which is deep inside the skin. CO2 resurfacing only works superficially and will not help this problem. I would wait at least one year for this to resolve and if you have any residual staining, you could look into 532 laser treatments to help.

Thank you for your photos. You appear to have had a lot of bruising initially below the eye. It is likely that you may have a component of hemosiderin staining (iron deposits) from the old blood rather than a purely Tyndall effect. Hemosiderin staining is difficult to remove although some laser therapies may be helpful in stimulating your body to remove the leftover iron in your tissue. CO2 is a resurfacing laser which will not work here since your staining is in the deeper levels of your skin. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD
