What is cost and procedure for congenital melanocytic nevus? (Photo)

I have a small congenital melanocytic nevus that i want removed and was wondering how the procedure would go and what would be the approximate cost. The nevus is located to the right of my belly button. Has not changed in size or color and does not hurt.

I suggest seeing an expert for treatment.  There are many options for mole removal when it comes to this but excison with skin care and then laser treatment would be best.  Dr. Emer.

Hi Harley.  The best way to remove the Nevus is with a surgical procedure.  Because of the mole like nature and tissue density lasers are not a good option.  The challenge is that you will be trading a mole for a scar.  The scar will be noticeable but we have found that if we revise the scars with fractional Resurfacing before they are 6 months old we can minimize the visibility.
