Aczone helps for inflammatory acne ( and even cystic acne ). It decreases the numbers of inflammatory lesions. It may help your condition, however I would consult your dermatologist so that they can recommend an ideal solution for your specific skin concerns.
This may provide some improvement. However, I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. For rosacea, I like a combination approach, using lasers (ProYellow, Pulsed Dye/Vbeam, Excel V, Clear + Brilliant), peels and botox to the cheeks. This makes dramatic changes in color and symptoms. Aczone can be helpful for some patients with rosacea. If you are not having success with the more traditional topical treatments such as metronidazole gel or finacea, it may be worth trying depending on your presentation of rosacea. Other treatment options might be an oral medication (such doxycycline), or IPL or vascular laser, depending on the types of lesions and severity, as well as your preferences.
Thanks for your question. Aczone might help if you have some inflammatory lesions, pustules and papules, with your rosacea, but I am not sure if it will make much difference if most of your problem is redness and vascular lesions. You want to be sure you don't get any stinging or burning on application, which might just make the skin more red. This can happen as it is a gel formula and not as moisturizing as a cream. If you have some on hand, you might want to try it cautiously on a not-too-noticeable area of the face, maybe at the far sides of your cheeks or jawline to see if it makes you more red. Best of luck!
