Plexr caused pigmentation. Can I use vitamin C to lighten up the area?

Reference to my earlier post about plexr treatment I did 5 month ago and the pigmentation it caused can I use vitamin C to lighten up the area or is it preferable to stay away from it as I heard it can make things worse .
