I recently underwent Visalyft and the results are very natural looking. Dr Esmail and his team are highly professional and have been incredibly supportive during the entire process from pre op to post op. They genuinly care abour their patients and go above and beyound to ensure you have the best possible experience. I am grateful for thr outstanding care i received. If you are considering facial cosmetic surgery, I highly recommend Dr Esmail and his team.
This man is an artist and life saver I had destroyed septum and Dr. Esmail gave my nose a 2nd life he fully rebuilt my septum and reshaped my big nose into a nose I actually love to look at in the mirror I never did like my nose but I love the new nose Dr. Esmail gave me! You will not regret choosing him as your surgeon he has a great team and is worth every dollar you will spend.
I am a month post op rhinoplasty and I am beyond happy with the choice I made to go to Dr. Esmail. Initially I was looking at getting the surgery in Europe or in a different province, I did not know that Winnipeg had a surgeon who specialises in the nose, and who is really good at it! The changes that were made are exactly the way I wanted my nose to look, the swelling is almost gone, and the entire process went by smoothly. The staff are also very friendly! Thank you.
Hello folks. No pictures I'm afraid, Winnipeg is a small place and while I'm quite open about my nose job, I don't feel like having my photos up online. I'm now three months post-op for a rhinoplasty and facial fat grafting with Dr. Esmail, and I'm very pleased with the experience and the result. I appreciate when people give very detailed reviews on here, so here's my long and complete review. Right from my first consult I enjoyed Dr. Esmail's demeanour. He's quite laid-back and has a sort of dry humour, which I share, so I found him easy to talk to and liked him right away. I also found him to be quite honest, including about things I don't need to change. For instance, when I asked him about doing a lip lift, he pulled out a measuring tape, checked my philtrum, and straight up told me "nah, you're right in the normal range." I appreciated that, because let's be frank: a lot of us considering cosmetic surgery are overanalyzing our features, and our brains may be magnifying the perceived flaws out of proportion. It's an excellent sign when a surgeon is honest with their opinion about what procedures you don't need. Because of this, and more, I left my consults actually feeling better about myself and my nose than when I went in. At one point he told me that I had a "great profile, we don't want to change it." I'd never once in my life thought that my nose was good in profile, so hearing this from a surgeon was a nice pick-me-up. It also made me feel confident that Dr. Esmail appreciated the existing character of my nose, and thus was the right person to improve its aesthetics. Dr. Esmail described himself to me as a very conservative surgeon. This is perhaps what sealed the deal for me booking with him, because I wanted to preserve the character of my nose and how it fits on my face while fixing the things that really bothered me. He clearly shared this preferred approach. I felt that he listened to and understood what I wanted, and that we were on the same page about what to change and what not to change. This made me feel very relaxed and confident going into surgery. The surgery itself was easy. The surgical staff were wonderful. I regret that I don't remember the anesthesiologist's name, but special shout-out to him: he was incredibly warm and friendly, and made me feel totally at ease. The surgical nurses were all cheerful, and I enjoyed chatting with them as they were getting me rigged up for surgery. My last memory before they knocked me out was laughing at their discussion about the music on the radio. It's nice to feel that chill before someone cuts your face open. When I woke up I felt great. Probably a little too great: a funny moment when I was still on the table after surgery and asked if I could speak to Dr. Esmail and the nurse, very kindly, was like "he's already come in to talk to you twice." Right. Lesson learned: don't worry about the post-op chat, just pack your doped-up self home and get some sleep. My recovery was smooth. I never took or needed to take the painkillers prescribed, and certainly not for my nose. The nose recovery was basically painless -- just your typical gross few days where you're bleeding, but after that it was smooth sailing. I had minimal facial swelling, most of that due to the fat grafting, and no bruising (but I didn't require osteotomy, which is likely part of why). The only real post-op pain I had was from the liposuction site on my legs for the fat grafting, which hurt quite badly for a few days. Dr. Esmail had told me in advance that would probably be the worst part of recovery, and he was right, so I was prepared for it. By the end of the first week that was much better. Dr. Esmail apparently does not typically use nasal packing, which is excellent. I'd had a previous septoplasty and the packing was by far the most miserable part of recovery then. So it was pleasant not to have a repeat. My cast fell off about five days post-op, which they said was fine. Right away, I was happy with my result -- the nose was obviously quite swollen at that point, but I could tell the things that bothered me most had been either totally fixed (the bulbous nose tip) or greatly improved (my nostril asymmetry). I also had some turbinate work and my breathing was much improved by that. Since then, recovery has just been a matter of being patient and watching the swelling slowly improve. It continues to improve at three months, and will do so for months more yet. As the swelling goes down I'm getting more definition in the tip, and it looks better and better every week. Still a little lingering numbness in the tip, which is normal and also improving steadily. Overall: with the rhinoplasty, Dr. Esmail listened to what I wanted and delivered a result that absolutely achieved my goals, respected my features, and has made me very happy. It's fascinating to realize I've had decades of self-consciousness about my nose just vanish. When patios were open I went on a couple of dates, and afterwards was amazed to realize I no longer feel weird if someone sits on my right side (the "bad" side of my old nose, with my nostril asymmetry) or worry how my nose looks at certain angles. I don't think I'd realized how much of my subconscious energy was being taken up by that until after my rhinoplasty. As for the facial fat grafting: I'm thrilled with that too. So thrilled I'll probably do another round down the road (Dr. Esmail is conservative with facial fat grafting as well, which I prefer: can always add more later). It looks great, a super natural and very subtle rejuvenation. Quite hopeful I won't need to keep up with fillers anymore. Overall a great job there, glad I went with his advice to do the lower face as well as the cheeks. Finally, my overall experience with the clinic and Visage staff was good. I found everyone there to be very helpful, very friendly and quite responsive to questions or concerns. I appreciated, for instance, that just one week before my surgery, when I was having major doubts about the facial fat grafting portion, they invited me to come in right away to have another consult with Dr. Esmail and ask more questions. I found that consult very reassuring, and appreciated that they didn't dismiss my doubts or but rather made me feel supported in having that additional discussion with Dr. Esmail. I did have to keep on the clinic staff a little bit after the surgery to get some paperwork done that I needed, but that wasn't a huge deal. The most important part was that throughout the pre-surgical process, I felt very supported as a patient. The post-ops have been quick, but that's because everything is going good. So, overall: excellent experience, both in terms of the result and how supported I felt through the process. I have already recommended Dr. Esmail to people, and will continue to do so.
I was extremely happy with my whole experience at Visage and with my surgery done by Dr. Esmail. I was so scared for surgery but the whole team and staff made me feel so comfortable. And if anyone is having doubts about getting rhinosplasty, don’t! He is the best!!! My recovery time was so minimal and I was barely in any pain at all. My nose is proportioned to my face now, my nostrils are even and all in all looks so good! The after care treatment is amazing as well.
Great experience with this doctor and his staff. Just had a rhinoplasty one day ago... second day post OP today and no pain... minimal bruising. My wisdom teeth removal was by far worse than my rhinoplasty. Nose is already looking amazing even with the initial swelling. I am beyond pleased! Thank you doctor Esmail and staff!
AMAZING experience. I had a non-surgical rhinoplasty done. I am so happy with the results! I have always been interested in rhinoplasty, and had no idea such a difference could be made to my side profile/nose without a surgical procedure. Dr. Ali Esmail is an artist. :)
Absolutely ecstatic that Dr Esmail is going to be doing my revision !!!!! Date TBA !!!This has been such a Roller Coaster of emotions since my rhinoplasty four years ago . Not only aesthetically is my nose substandard , but functionally it’s just not at all :( It has been breathe right strips , mouth breathing only , and a whole lot of whistling nose sounds if I dare try to breath through my nose . To try and put into words what this has done to my soul is difficult........so often I have chastised myself for being so shallow people have real world problems ,starvation , war etc etc and here I am feeling so desolate over my nose .... then I realized it is important !!!!Without health we have nothing !!!Physically and mentally mine has been compromised with the results of my first rhinoplasty. I seriously am over the moon that Dr .Esmail has agreed to take on my case !!!! Dr Esmail’s vast knowledge combined with his magnetic personality ,his honest straight forward way of explaining to a lay person what is required to achieve the desired outcome is incredibly impressive .His medical assistant is so very helpful and completely charming !!! Can’t wait to update with surgery date!!!!! Pinch me can’t believe it’s happening !!!!!!!!!!! There is a light at the end of this tunnel ???? Updated on 23 Mar 2019: Dr Esmail’s surgical assistant Kassie called with my surgery date March 13th!!! Updated on 23 Mar 2019: Birth nose Updated on 23 Mar 2019: Updated on 29 Mar 2019: March 13 surgery day !! Leading up to the day of surgery I had been very apprehensive. For those of you that have been down the road of failed rhinoplasty, you know the types of worries going through my thoughts ....is it worth going under the knife again ?? Is it going to be yet another confident shattering experience??? The last few years I have come to expect funny comments on botched nose jobs and being the butt of jokes like Micheal Jackson comments haha I was always laughing along with them (not really....) funny not funny So having resigned myself to just not looking in the mirror, avoiding pictures, the overall depression that enveloped me over this failed attempt . So reminding myself why I had sought out revision helped calm me!!!!! The morning of surgery Dr.Esmail came and talked to me discussed and reassured me on what he was going to do in the operation what the expected outcomes were to be. He along with all the wonderful medical personnel at the facility reassured me and made me comfortable as I said earlier my nerves were getting the best of me. I had to stop and remember how fortunate I was to be there!!! When I woke up Dr.Esmail came to tell me that the surgery was a success and had pictures of before and after in the operating theatre !!! I was overwhelmed and elated !!! First thing I sure noticed even in the nose cast I could breathe!!!!!! After Kassie Dr.Esmail’s medical assistant called with the most endearing message she was so excited for my successful outcome it was truly thoughtful!!! as I was in so much pain and to hear her exuberance really made my day :) healing not going say hard but not going to say easy either... I had over five cartridge grafts and the surgery was over 3 and a half hours long ,along with this being my third nose surgery it has been a lot of bed rest and taking it easy... Updated on 29 Mar 2019: Updated on 7 Apr 2019: Updated on 19 Apr 2019: One month!!! recovering has been going well! I have not had a lot of swelling, still cleaning with saline rinse and using antibiotic ointment just to ensure healing . My tip is still sore not more than it should be I just need to be gentle !!! I’m still in awe and not use to how awesome my nose looks (as before I would avoid looking at myself in mirrors and pictures ) so when I do catch a glance at myself I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude!!! I can look at myself and not cringe !!!!! Seriously life changing for me !!!! I can now BREATHE through my nose forgot to mention that important fact !!!!!
I had a septorhinoplasty and turbinoplasty performed by Dr.Esmail at the end of August and I am so pleased with my results! The first time I met with Dr.Esmail he confirmed I had a deviated septum. He took time to explain the procedure required to fix my septum, how it would be performed and what recovery would look like. He answered my numerous questions and did not make me feel rushed in the least. I immediately booked in with him for a surgery date, feeling well informed and completely confident in his abilities. I knew I would be in the best hands. His office assistant, Kassi, was also a great resource through the time leading up to surgery and post-surgery. Kassi was always quick to return any of my voice messages/emails and was always more than happy to answer any questions I had. She is very professional and friendly and provides great support in such a busy office. I cannot even put into words how pleased I am with the results! I can finally breathe with ease! Dr. Esmail is so skilled with his techniques during surgery that I had minimal bruising/swelling, I did not require any pain medication post-op and recovery was so much easier than I had anticipated. I credit the ease of my recovery to his skilled techniques during the surgery. I feel so fortunate to have had my procedure when I did as I have no doubt he is on track to being the top ENT doctor in Winnipeg. If you are looking for a highly trained and skilled surgeon to perform your procedure, do not hesitate meeting with Dr.Esmail. You should want only the best surgeon in this field working on such a delicate area of your face. I am confident you will be just as pleased with your results as I am! Thank you Dr.Esmail!
Excellent! Honest, real and engaging. He makes you feel very comfortable because he is confident and detail focused. His staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The results exceeded my expectations. I would recommend him and his team to friends and family.
Recovery from a Rhinoplasty procedure is quite comfortable with most patients only requiring pain medication for the first 24hrs post procedure. Upon waking from surgery, your nose will be covered with a splint (which you may need to wear for up to one week). Expect to be swollen and possibly bruised around the eyes and cheek area. 80% of swelling is typically down at one month post procedure and the tip starts to show more refinement. Breathing is also significantly improved around this time. Rhinoplasty takes approximately one year for the final shape of the nose to reveal itself, however it's definitely worth the wait!
The cost for a Surgical Rhinoplasty procedure typically ranges anywhere between $8,500 - $11,000+gst. Price varies depending on each patient's individual needs and goals. The plastic surgeons credentials and equipment being used during the procedure may also affect the cost. It is recommended to meet in-person with the surgeon to share your goals, which will help determine the best procedure for you.
Often facial slimming is a multi-prong approach. Buccal-fat removal, masseter Botox, and dermal fillers are all used. Usually some portion of all three are required to maintain an aesthetic balance.
Very swollen, try not to look at it too much for at least a month. Things will change drastically.
I would ask Guy Massry, definitely the best best for revision cases. I would think the excess skin can be removed carefully and the incision line softened with non-surgical modalities.
