I had my septum fixed 30+ years ago. Could having all of my top teeth pulled have caused more issues?

I am a female who is now 71 and recently have been put on oxygen, It feels like only one nostril is getting the oxygen. Is it possible that having to have all top teeth pulled messed up septum again?

Hello and thank you for your question. A closed nasal reduction aims to reposition displaced nasal bones. If your septum is also deviated, you may consider septoplasty +/- rhinoplasty at a later date. Most surgeons advise waiting 6 months from most recent trauma before doing this procedure. Best...

Your tip is slightly widened and you would benefit from a tip plasty. The medial and lateral cruras are pulled closer to the midline to refine the tip. You also have slight concavity of the dorsum. This can be improved at the same time, if desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
