Is it normal or common to have flu like symptoms after a seroma is drained from a lipoma?

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your symptoms.  Flu like symptoms are not common after aspiration of a seroma/hematoma and should be investigated by your surgeon for a possible infection of the operative site.  This is especially true if you have noticed increased pain, swelling, or redness along your incision. I hope this helps.
