I had surgery 2 weeks ago - 500cc unders. silicone cohesive gel. Doc picked the cc based on pics I brought in. I wanted to be a D, was 32B/C pre-op. I told him I wanted 425cc, but he said not to worry about cc, that was his job. After surgery when they told me I had 500s, I was shocked. My left implant is lower than right, & the scar is riding up onto the lower pole & my nipple is borderline pointing up. Is it possible the 500cc are too big for me? I don't think this should happen so soon.
Answer: Early Bottoming Out? Even though you are very early in the healing process, what you describe does sound like that side is already bottoming out. As the implant pushes past the natural fold more ( due to overdissection, poor tissue characteristics, or too large an implant for the tissues to handle), the nipple rotates upwards and the incision shows more. At this point it is still about healing up and allowing everything to settle down. I recommend wearing a bra at all times that helps keep it in the position that it is supposed to be at and address this with your surgeon at your next visit. I hope this helps.

Answer: Too soon to judge Hello dear, thanks for your post and provided information as well. Patience is one of the most important factors in achieving the best results in cosmetic surgery. We all want to see the final result as early as possible. Unfortunately, the healing process is complicated and takes time. The surest way to get a poor result is to undergo revision surgery before your body is ready for additional surgery. Breast augmentations take about six months for the swelling to go down and the breasts to settle and assume their final size and shape. When we do a breast enlargement, surgeons try to center the implant behind the nipple. Minor position adjustments can be accomplished to account for the normal asymmetry that most women have. If the breasts are different sizes, saline implants can be adjusted to achieve better symmetry. Please wait until six months post op and then return to your original surgeon. Minor asymmetry is normal. Too vigorous surgical approaches may result in more expense, more scarring, and new complications. Good luck :)

Answer: Implant issue Without photos, it is hard to comment. If you think there is an issue, you might want to see your surgeon. Best of luck.

Answer: Settling of implants after surgery Dear Everwood, at two weeks after surgery, it is still too early to say what the final results of your surgery will be. If it seems that one side is settling more than the other, you may benefit from wearing some more support such as padding under the breast on the left side to see it can be propped up more. Unfortunately, if you are unhappy with your size, additional surgery would be required to change this. However, give your body some time to heal before making that decision.
