I’m in my 20s and I’m wondering if you get filler, will it distort your face once it’s dissolved or if you decide to discontinue getting the procedure done will it damage or stretch out your skin or underlying tissue?

Answer: Do fillers cause damage to skin Hello and thank you for your question, To my knowledge fillers do not cause damage or stretching to the skin. Very small amounts of filler are used during a procedure. I love the concern and question. It’s always a great idea to check things out and know what you’re getting yourself into. Best wishes.Dr. T

Answer: Facial filler There is no evidence that facial filler will cause tissue damage or distortion if removed or dissolved over time. Keep in mind that small amounts are used for most areas (depending on the area, most treatments use 0.5 to 2 mL of product; 2 mL is equivalent to 0.4 teaspoons). As the amounts used are relatively small, you should not be concerned about stretching the skin or causing damage to your skin or tissues.
