I'm looking to remove this broken capillary on my face. My dermatologist suggested electrocautery but I was reading this can leave a pit scar. What is the best method for removing these?

Answer: Facial Veins Run Away To get rid of these pesky lil veins, IPL Lumenis One or Cynosure Elite-MPX..after an evaluation your provider will direct you on best choice. Recommend look for Cynosure Elite-MPX provider on the cynosure website as this is my fav laser for this treatment and we do have both of these Lasers at my office...the Lumenis One is older technology and is being phased out now, Good Luck, Dr.Amy

Answer: Facial Vein Treatment There are a few excellent options for treating facial veins. One of them is called veinwave. It uses a tiny needle to deliver electrical energy to the vein. Another, is Intense Pulsed Light or IPL. IPL uses a series of different wavelengths of light to constrict and close facial veins. Lastly, the ND:YAG laser is also a great choice. I make my patient recommendations on these options after examining them. If there is general redness in the area, rosacea, I recommend the IPL first. If there are discrete veins, the veinwave or ND:YAG laser.
