Is it safe for a 7 year old to have laser removal? (photos)

My niece is 7 years old and she has excessive hair growth under her chin down to her neck. It's pretty long and her school companions are starting to notice and make fun of her. Would it be safe to have it removed by laser or can you suggest an alternative. Thank you for your input. Dawn

The short answer to your question is that it is safe as long as the appropriate laser for your daughter's skin type is being used. I personally have had the best results in removing hair in children as this seems to work the best due to the increased melanin in the hair follicles. However, keep in mind it must be dark brown or black hair in order to respond to the laser treatment.
