Best laser hair removal (machine) for lighter colored hair?

Hello,Although your hair may be responsive, there are more challenges when the target (hair) has less pigment and is thin, as you have described.  An in-person evaluation with a practitioner will help determine if you will be a good responder.  In our practice, using the Lightsheer Diode laser has been a good tool even with light to medium brown hair.  However, an Alexandrite is also a good option based upon what you are describing.  Although pain/comfort is an important issue, permanent hair removal will always come with a degree of discomfort regardless of an underlying condition.  We suggest you consider a topical numbing agent and cold air (zimmer cooling) during your procedure to offset the discomfort. 

Dark hair works best for laser hair removal. Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best for hair removal. Keep in mind, it will take a series of treatments. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a laser hair removal expert. Best, Dr. Emer
