Why didn't my laser hair removal work?

Question

I'm healthy 21 yr old female and about 6 months ago I finished 10 sessions of laser hair removal at laser clinics australia (legs, underarms, etc.). I have quite fair skin and dark brown almost black hair. Also, I followed the technicians instructions exactly i.e. Shaving a day or two before. My treatments did literally nothing for my hair growth and I want to know why/if there's is I can do?

Thank you for your question in regards to laser hair removal. It is important that the proper laser was used during your hair reduction treatments, also the intensity of power (settings) should increase with each treatment. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

It's quite disappointing to hear that laser hair reduction did nothing for you.
A few things need to be taken in consideration.  What type of laser was used on your?  Experience of your provider?  
Even though, everyone responds differently to the procedure, you should have been noticing significant improvement by your third session.
Please understand, no laser can achieve a 100% hair reduction.  The average is 75-85%.  Also, the younger you are the longer it takes, simply because of hormones.  Areas like underarms, bikini and legs respond better in comparison to the face.
