Is it common to develop several painful lumps months after underarm Botox?

Question

I got Botox under both arms and months later developed several painful lumps under my arm. Is this common? They eventually went away, at one point I took antibiotics, as my primary physician thought it was an infection. Now, nearly 11 months since the Botox, I got another painful lump. This time it’s more painful. Is this common months after Botox?

Thank you for your question. I have not heard of anyone developing bumps or infections following axillary Botox injections. It Is likely that you have an ingrown hair or possibly hidradenitis. I would seek a consultation with a board certified Plastic Surgeon who is experienced with preforming axillary Botox treatments. Laser hair removal may also be helpful. It is best to have an evaluation by a physician who can provide both a comprehensive exam and treatment options. Best of luck.

Well it is very rare to have skin lumps after Botox for hyperhidrosis armpit. 
And need to assess whether it is inflammatory  or non inflammation type. Advice to have examination done by the same doctor whom should able to diagnose the possible causes

NO, this is not the usual pattern. It is not related to Botox but maybe due to blocked eccrine or apocrine ducts (HS). A clinical examination will tell. Dr Davin S. Lim
