I understand that it depends on many factors, your complexion, the ink, the depth of the penetration of the ink, and the type of laser, but I'd like a general view. Its been an emotional time, and I'd really love some thought on this. Thanks very much for your help.
Answer: Tattoo Removal Thank you for your question in regards to Tattoo Removal.Tattoo removal requires multiple treatments. With black being a very responsive ink color and that your tattoo is thin, and not a cluster of ink it should have a great response with laser removal. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Answer: It is definitely removable but it will take time. Yes, this is a perfect color to remove. The only challenge is going to be the size and area. It will take multiple sessions as it will likely need to be numbed up (or you will be in significant pain). The cost will likely be pretty significant as well. I can't say how much but it would be in the thousands. Good luck!

Answer: Black ink tattoo This should be relatively easy to remove because it is black ink and the ink is not thick. It still will take about 6-8 treatments with a traditional QS laser or less with a Pico laser. I use the R0 protocol which give faster resolution of the tattoo.

Answer: Can tattoo outline be removed? Hello, Thank you for your question and thanks for including a photo. The way a laser rids the skin of ink is it shatters the ink into tiny particles that are then absorbed by the body. This requires multiple treatments. Fortunately the ink volume is not really that heavy, being that it is black and thin lines, this should make the process fairly rapid and successful. The number of treatments can be determined by the device being used. The latest technology is the pico-second technology. The PicoWay Laser (Candela/Syneron) uses photoacoustic impact/pressure waves rather than photothermal/heat.This process has less heat, therefore it is more comfortable and the chances of hyperpigmentation are less. The Pico-second pulse shatters the ink into even smaller particles, allowing the body to more easily absorb the ink. The pico-second technology usually can rid the body of ink in about half as many treatments as the Q-switch devices. You can check in your area to see if this technology is available by clicking on the link supplied below.Good Luck!
