It's almost been a year since I began picosure laser tattoo removal on the back side of my arm. My tattoo from day 1 was only an outline in black ink. I just had my 6th session and my doctor says I will need about 2 more. It has faded very slowly, and I can still see the entire tattoo clearly. I'm so worried that it will be very noticeable, because my doctor didn't sound very confident.. what do you think

Laser treatment will cause the ink to darken initially, but continuing laser treatments will help to lighten the ink. If you are considering laser, I would not do any more lighter ink since it will only complicate the laser removal. In good health, Dr. Keel

Based solely on your photos, this looks like scarring. Schedule an appointment with your dermatologist to discuss treatment options. In terms of your tattoo, if you weren't using the PicoSure laser, you might want to try it as it's currently the best laser on the market. My best,
