Filler granulomas can be removed from the face using exacting surgical techniques. Hyaluronidase may help break up some of the granulomas when used with other dissolving agents.Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
No matter how much hyaluronidase is injected, Sculptra won't respond to it. When you state granulomas, you must have redness, tenderness, and swelling. If it is just nodularity, that is different. Granulomas are treated with antibiotics and 5FU injections. Nodules, just 5FU, Kenalog are used. Consider Ulthera to break up nodules as well.
Hi catplank,When I get complaints like yours, I usually tell them to be patient. So in this case. that doesn't apply. Small ones that are not visible are best left alone. Even deep-seated ones will dissolve over time - but very slowly. Unfortunately, hyaluronidase doesn't dissolve Sculptra. If it is very visible and it bothers you, you can have it surgically removed. But choose your surgeon very well. All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
