I've noticed only very recently (past couple of months) that the shapes of my eyes are very different. looking back at old photos I can see that both my eyes were about the same size. Now, however, the size difference is a very noticeable and it seems to be getting worse. What can the reason be and what can I do? (The size difference is noticeable even after I remove my makeup.)

It would be helpful to see pictures of you before the change to determine which eye has changed. If it is the left eye, it could be an early exophthalmos possibly related to your thyroid. This is probably the most likely cause for this kind of change. I would suggest that you start by consulting your family doctor or internist and get a referral to an endocrinologist. You need to have a thorough evaluation to determine the cause of this change. I wish you the best.

Thank you for your question.Minor differences in the sizes of the eyes are normal but it is a recent development you should see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Oculoplastic Surgeon who specializes in these problems. You may have a recent onset of mild levator weakness. This is correctable.All The Best.
