Thank you for your question.I would generally recommend waiting 6 months before considering revision or touch up liposuction. I recommend waiting at least this amount of time because swelling can take at least 6 months to resolve postoperatively. It is important to wait until you have fully healed and your swelling has dissipated before undergoing or even considering a revisionary procedure because you want to make sure that you have a clear picture of what needs and does not need to be addressed. Please follow up with your operating surgeon to address your concerns. I hope you find this helpful and I wish you all of the best on your recovery.
hello Tita1248Liposuction patients can see results of their procedures as early as 10-14days after the procedure, but improvements continue 4-6 months afterwards as swellings and irregularities resolve. you should visit or contact your PS.#RESULTS #TOUCHUP
In general it would be reasonable to consider touch up or revision by 3 to 6 months after the initial liposuction procedure, but it depends on exactly what your needs are. Talk to your surgeon about your concerns and make a plan for how to address any areas you are unhappy with after appropriate healing and recovery.
Three to six months is probably a reasonable period of time to wait. This is difficult to evaluate without pictures or an exam.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thanks for your question, and I'm sorry you're not yet thrilled with your results -- full liposuction recovery takes 6 months for all of the swelling to subside. I would recommend waiting for 6 months before considering a touch up because you may ultimately end up not needing any revision or touch up (as some areas remain swollen for longer than others and will ultimately even out). Best of luck in your recovery!
I recommend waiting at least six months for swelling to recede such that you can get a true picture of what needs to be done.
I would wait at least 6 months for all the swelling to subside first. Then re-evaluate at that time if all the swelling is gone.
Hello luciamzExcess skin would usually shrink back over the area of the body, liposuction is used to reduce volume not tighten skin. We now have a number of non surgical devices such as ThermiSmooth radiofrequency and VelaShape3 to help tighten skin after liposuction for patients who will ...
This will depend on skin laxity, but you appear to be a candidate for liposuction. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This ...
Hello Lipo4meplsyour surgeon will tell you specifically how long it will take before you can resume work and exercise. Liposuction patients can expect to resume normal activity within 1 to 2 weeks after their operation. Most patients return to office work with 3–5 days after their liposuction; p...
I don't want to sound cavalier but this is not unlike common sayings that you can never be rich enough, thin enough, etc. Most patients desire or seek a lot of fat removal: "Doc, take out as much as you can!". However, too much is not always the best and can result in problems.
Hello becscammyIf you have fat in a particular area of your body that you can’t seem to get rid of through dieting or exercise, liposuction may provide a good option for you. Liposuction can also be done to improve your body contours. Liposuction is not used for those looking for dramatic we...
You ask why your belly splits in the middle and then post no picture of the middle of your belly so it is very hard to answer your question. In general, a split down the middle of the abdomen between the rectus muscles is completely normal and actually can be quite an attractive feature. If the...
