Answer: GAIN WEIGHT BEFORE BBL? Hello there and thanks for your question and photos. This is a tough one. You are actually underweight according to BMI for your height and weight. If you are able to gain weight you can try to. On the other hand, you may lose the fat if you lose the weight after the surgery. This is a subject of debate among board certified plastic surgeons. Most important, meet in person with with a board certified plastic surgeon who has experience with BBL and discuss the best options for you. Best of luck.

Answer: If I am at my ideal weight now, should I gain a few pounds prior to my Brazilian Butt Lift, in case I lose fat after my procedur This is a great question as it is a concern for most patients about losing some of the fat that has been transferred for their butt augmentation. If you are currently at your ideal weight for the procedure I would NOT recommend gaining any more weight. Patients need liposuction in multiple areas such as the flanks, back abdomen and inner thighs. However this liposuction in multiple areas will allow your surgeon to shape your entire body. When you are at your ideal weight your surgeon knows exactly how much fat needs to be harvested (liposuctioned) for your augmentation. It also allows your plastic surgeon o sculpt you at your ideal weight to give you the best result possible from you Brazilian Butt Lift. I am always cautious about having patients gain weight before their procedure because if they lose weight after the fat transfer procedure they will lose some of the fat that is transferred during the Brazilian Butt Lift. In most of my patients I will recommend PRP (platelet rich plasma) as there is some thought that the PRP will help patient retain more of the fat that is transferred for the augmentation. All patients lose some of the fat that is transferred the keys are to transfer the correct amount in the initial setting (accounting for some of the fat loss) and then doing multiple techniques to help retain as much fat as possible after the procedure. PRP is one technique to help retain fat, another is the post-operative sitting protocol. Patients have to be very careful about placing any pressure on their buttock as the fat needs time to heal. This various techniques will help patients achieve the best result possible from their Brazilian Butt Lift. Please consult with your board certified plastic surgeon that performs a high volume of butt augmentation procedures.

Answer: BBL related. If I am at my ideal weight now, should I gain a few pounds, in case fat is lost? (Photo) Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Based on your pictures, you are a great candidate for liposuction with BBL, and I think you'll get very good results. You should not gain weight. Liposuction allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You can improve your abdomen, back and flanks, and of course your buttock, to give you a nice heart shape. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 33 or less. The average cost and payment plans vary a lot depending on the clinic, the country, city and the plastic surgeon. It also depends on the number of areas treated with liposuction. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know. Good luck :)

Answer: Weight gain for BBL Hi therethanks for the question. I do NOT recommend to my patients to gain weight for surgery. I don't think it is a healthy method of getting the results you want. What if you gained 30 lbs and then had a financial issue that prevented you from having your surgery. Now you are 30lbs heavier and can't afford liposuction. And that fat will be a lot harder to lose then to gain. Right now your body and weight look great for an upcoming BBLGood Luck
