how much time will it take before the numbness goes away

I would first like to know what "type" of numbness you are experiencing.  Temporary numbeness as described by a "woody" sensation may be normal and should really resolve fairly quickly ( less than 10 days).  If you have numbness of your lower lip or chin area then I would have you speak with you surgeon about that as this may a different issue.

Usually it takes several weeks for the numbness to subside after liposuction. Very rarely do patients suffer from permanent nerve damage.

occur but they will subside within the next few weeks. Continue to wear your
