I'm currently a 32C and wish to be a full D. I had my first consultation and my measurements are 13cm wide and 10.5cm high. The surgeon recommended nuance implants which I'm happy with as I want a more natural look. The choices I have with these implants are 395cc or 440cc - I'm leaning towards the 440cc but I'm worried that they'll be a little to big for my frame - 5'3 and 123 pounds. I'm looking for guidance on which size will be best for my measurements. Thank you
Answer: Implant volume and cup size At size 32 each 100 cc’s of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. 440 cc implants would take you up 4 cup sizes to a G. 440 cc implants would not fit retro-pectoral, extrude inferiorly and laterally requiring revision. You need smaller implants to achieve your desired goal of a D. I always recommend small round textured silicone gel implants placed retro-pectoral since they look and feel more natural, are more stable, less likely to ripple or have complications needing revision.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Best Breast Implants for Me? Thank you for the question. Despite good intentions, online consultants will not be able to provide you with meaningful specific advice. Ultimately, in person consultation with well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons will be necessary. Careful measurements, dimensional planning, and careful communication will be key. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you're looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining which operation and/or breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "full D cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. The use of computer imaging may also be helpful during this communication process. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery. I hope this, and the attached link, helps.

Answer: Which breast implant size? I think that if you are uncertain about your implant choice you should go back and see your surgeon. I think you could have either implant but without seeing you and discussing with you the pros and cons of different implants then it is difficult to say what I think it the implant that will give you the result you are looking for.Kind regards,Dean

Answer: Breast implant size Hi thereIt's a great question and of course one of the most important. If you are currently 32C and 5'3" you already have a good volume there. My guess is either of those implants will take you above a D cup.Having said that, cup size varies a lot depending on the makeup of each individual and it can be very difficult to estimate accurately. It's more of the overall look that you should aim for, and then get a bra that fits you comfortably. Also be aware that the bigger your breasts are, the more restricted the range of bras you can purchase.I would really have another good discussion with your surgeon about this until you are happy. All the best.
