My Dr raised my nose tip higher because he said I have thick skin and made it a feminine angle. But I feel like it is abnormally high. Google says the tip only drops a little the first 6 weeks and after that the angle stays the same for lifetime. Is this true or will it drop more so it looks more natural?
Answer: Septal extension graft Hi @sanaaa1997, Great question! This totally depends on the the technique that was used as there are several septal grafts that can be used to raise the tip. That being said there will likely be changes beyond 6 weeks and typically the tip drops a mm or so even after 1 year. I recommend discussing with your surgeon. Best of luck, Dr. Ghazizadeh

Answer: Dr. Google says To make an assessment, we generally need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. Rhinoplasty results will change slightly primarily based on early postoperative swelling. Much of this settles down in the first six weeks, but there may be subtle swelling that can persist over many months. Most people consider rhinoplasty results to be final at 12 months. At six weeks you have a general idea of what your nose is going to look like. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
