Chin filler and sun exposure

Your sun exposure should not affect your filler. It is always recommended to wear sunscreen to protect your skin, but filler is generally placed under the skin. Therefore, direct sunlight will not dissolve your filler.

Sun exposure can degrade hyaluronic acid, which can in turn reduce the intended effects of your dermal fillers. Based on your concerns, I recommend avoiding the sun for 5-7 days after having dermal fillers and wear sunglasses, a large hat, and cover your face as much as possible if you will be outside. Typically, the sun is not as strong after 4:00 pm, therefore, I believe that it will be okay to be outside, however, please remain cautious of the heat and sun exposure on that day. Hi there! Great question. Being in the sun for that period of time shouldn't dissolve the filler. You may experience a bit of swelling from the heat. If you do, keep ice on the area and limit your exposure to outside. By 5 days after the injection, you shouldn't run into many problems. Hope this helps!
